Little Green Footballs provides a video of Shimon Peres' passionate defense of Israel at the Davos World Economic Forum. Anyone who objects to Israel's actions in Gaza must respond to Peres' points. Prime Minister Erdogan of Turkey could not answer Peres' simple question, "What would Turkey do if someone were bombing Istanbul for years?" He walked off stage rather than respond.
What country would have allowed its citizens to be attacked for as long as Israel did? Would the USA allow terrorists in Mexico fire rockets into American towns? I think not. Nor should we.
The terrorists who launched rockets into Israel violated international law. Too many people examine Israel's response with a microscope in a desperate attempt to allege some violation of international law while ignoring the obvious violations by the Gazan terrorists. These people no longer have any credibility to any thinking person.
Can anyone doubt that Israel would live in peace the moment that the Muslim world accepted the existence of Israel and stopped the terrorist attacks on it?
